Each evening, a featured international competitor will orchestrate a spectacular firework show that is synchronized with a specially selected musical soundtrack. This year, the evenings will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting on August 10th, 2013 with the grand finale scheduled for August 24th, 2013.

The Grande Finale will take place on August 24th, 2013. Sure to be a can’t-miss-spectacle, on this night, the four competing teams will pull out all the stops in order to impress the crowd and jury.
Also, The Royal Pyrotechnie will be presenting “Legends of Fire” the same evening, rounding out the presentation of fireworks for the Sound of Light. The music is chosen from film repetoire, including:

Schedule of Activities
The fun starts every night at 6 p.m. with food and wine concessions.
Shuttle service is available at certain points across Gatineau and Ottawa at the cost of $3.50 per person for round trip, FREE for kids 11 years and under. The shuttles will run from 6:15 p.m. until 11:15 p.m. Pick up and drop-off points are: Les Promenades, Loblaws (Hull area), Parc-o-bus Robert-Guertin, and Wellington St.(Ottawa)
Organized activities including play structures, face painting, carnival games and other fun throughout the area from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Shows (dancers, musicians, etc.) will be taking place on the Tim Horton’s stage every night before the fireworks. The fireworks begin every night at 9:30 p.m. (an introduction to the pyrotechnical show starts before at 9:10 p.m.)

General admission: Cost is $12 per person per show and FREE for children 11 and under accompanied by an adult. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket to sit on the beach.

- Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. Avoid disappointment and get yours early!
- They will not exchange or refund tickets
- Get there early–they reserve the right to refuse access to the reserved seating area once the fireworks have started
- No animals, bikes, rollerblades or skateboards
- No glass containers or alcoholic beverages other than those sold on site
- They reserve the right to search coolers and bags
- The reserved section is a non-smoking area
- Take the MacDonald-Cartier Bridge
- Stay to the right hand side and take the first exit (Fournier / Maisonneuve Exit) to continue on Fournier Blvd.
- Continue on Fournier Blvd. until you reach the set of lights before the Lady Aberdeen Bridge
- At the set of lights, turn left to enter Leamy Lake Park
- Continue on the Leamy Lake Parkway until you reach the Sound of Light Checkpoint / Box Office
