Pirate Adventures sets sail on May 21st, 2011. Experience this unique, unforgettable adventure aboard a pirate ship along the Rideau Canal (by Mooney’s Bay Beach). Not just for kids, this attraction invites parents and grandparents to climb aboard and get into the spirit of adventure right alongside their kids and grandkids. They also offer birthday parties, corporate events (team building opportunities), and have plans for adult trips. I wonder if you’re allowed to make your boss walk the plank??!!

The 75 minute adventure starts with the pirate crew transforming your child into a pirate with face painting, tattoos and pirate gear. Ship activities include the following:
- pirate costumes, face painting and tattoos
- finding and solving a treasure map
- defending the ship with water cannons
- making evil "Pirate Pete" walk the plank
- finding and sharing the booty
- singing a sea shanty
- drinking some grog
and living the life of a pirate!
The sailing times may vary, so they strongly suggest that you make reservations or call ahead. For 7 days a week throughout the summer until labour day, and then every weekend in September, their departure times are as follows:

CANCELLATIONS AND RESERVATIONS
The company reserves the right to cancel a sail
a) due to inclement weather (heavy rain with strong winds and/or lightning)
b) if less than 15 passengers have confirmed
The vessel is Transport Canada inspected, approved and fully certified for passengers. All the staff are trained for marine emergency procedures, marine first aid and safe vessel operation. Life jackets are provided on-board and emergency life rafts for all passengers. Pirate Adventures Canada is fully insured.
